 Our Daehwa Mine has received approval from the Central Mine Safety Office for the construction of a new surface adit. After this approval, excavation of at least 10 meters must be completed, followed by sufficient installation of safety measures such as steel arches, shotcrete, and rock bolts. Subsequently, a completion inspection must be conducted by the Korea Mine Rehabilitation and Mineral Resources Corporation, and only after passing this inspection can full-scale excavation operations begin.

 For the completion inspection, external personnel and equipment, including a hydraulic drill, blasting technicians, and charging workers, were arranged, and excavation of the new surface adit commenced as of today.

 Holes are drilled into the rock surface using a hydraulic drill, explosives are charged into the drilled holes, detonators are connected, and blasting is carried out. The blasted ore and aggregates are then sorted and loaded onto the newly constructed mine access road and the waste rock stockpile. As blasting is a highly hazardous operation, thorough safety training and strict compliance with regulations were ensured in advance, and sufficient notice was provided to nearby residents to prevent potential complaints
